There have been number of new, free online legal databases that have come out recently. The CM Law Library blog has a good rundown of this recent information "explosion."

Ohio AG Subprime Mortgage Report

The Ohio Attorney General's Office has released a report detailing the subprime mortgage situation in Ohio.

Roger Clemens Hearing

The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is holding its second day of hearings on the Mitchell Report and steroids in Major League Baseball, with Roger Clemens testifying. Martindale-Hubbell to Add Videos

LexisNexis is adding attorney videos to the Martindale-Hubbell web sites (martindale.com and lawyers.com) . From the announcement:

Collexis Acquires Casemaker

Collexis has acquired Lawriter LLC, the company that operates Casemaker. Robert Ambrogi has the details. I'm sure it's too early to tell what effect, if any, this ownership change will have on Casemaker (used by OSBA members), but Robert seems optimistic that the acquisition might lead to some good things for Casemaker.

Death Penalty Sought for Six Guantanamo Bay Detainees

The Defense Department has brought charges against six Guantanamo Bay detainees and is seeking the death penalty. A supporting charge sheet is available at the Defense Department, Military Commissions web page.

Is the "Google Generation" a Myth?
