Access CALI Resources for Hundreds of Interactive Tutorials

The Moritz Law Library offers law students access to web-based legal tutorials and other resources through its membership in the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI), a non-profit consortium of law schools, law libraries, and other legal organizations. CALI provides law students at member schools access to over 1,000 online interactive “lessons” that cover over 40 subject areas, including first-year subjects like contracts and property. These lessons, which are created by law professors, are useful as a supplemental learning tool. Search for relevant lessons or browse the  Lessons by Subject Outline . CALI also features a growing  eBook collection , which includes casebooks, federal rules of procedure and evidence, law-related literature, and even law-related coloring books. To access CALI lessons, new users must click the “Register” link in the upper right corner of the webpage . You will be asked for an authorization code and an email address. Enter your  Moritz stud

Career Resources from the Moritz Law Library and Career Development

The Moritz Law Library’s  Career Resources Guide  will direct you to websites, journals, and books that can aid in the job search and interview process, as well as databases that can help you research potential employers and interviewers. The guide includes some  strategies  for identifying people to connect with on LinkedIn, Martindale.com, West’s Legal Directory on Westlaw, and other online directories. Of course, do not forget to check out the  Career Development website  and the  Career Development Digital Handbook  for invaluable information and guidance on how to find the best law job for you. The Career Development Digital Handbook also contains helpful guidelines for how to prepare and submit writing samples to prospective employers (see page 78 of the handbook). Please ask the  Reference Desk  if you have questions about the Law Library’s career resources and how we can help you develop your network!
